I grew up around stitching. Both my mother and grandmother enjoyed crochet and
sewing. Influenced by them, I was attracted to the colors and variety of cross stitch and
embroidery – developing my skills during those summer vacations spent on my Nanny’s
porch.

As a young bride, I found cross stitch particularly enjoyable and effective at creating
home décor. But like many others, as my family grew and my work responsibilities
increased, I put my hobbies aside.

I am now retired in the foothills of Appalachia with a reignited enthusiasm for needle
arts. Cross stitch and needle crafting have changed so much since I paused my
hobbies 35 years ago! Beautiful patterns, glorious colors and fabrics and so many new
ways to enjoy needle arts! (Can you say, “wool applique”?)

Cabin Cross Stitch & Crafts brings to life my passion for needlework and the community
of stitchers I have found since my return to needle arts. The shop carries a wide variety
of thread types and colors, fabrics, supplies and patterns for cross stitch, embroidery,
wool applique, punch needle, craft crochet and more! And let’s get that beautiful work
fully finished! You will find the supplies you need as well as services to help you get that
project ready to display.
